One day he had no money to buy food for himself and his wife. He searched and searched in vain, all that he could find was just one piece of leather. It was big enough to make one pair of shoes.
He cut the piece of leather and went to sleep thinking he would sew the shoes the next day and sell them. As the shoemaker slept on an empty stomach, he woke up early.
